Will the posts move in the winter when the ground freezes?Updated 2 months ago

The ground sleeves that hold the posts for the Freestanding Fence are 24" long. During installation, you will leave about 1.5" above ground. We have been using this system and sleeves of these lengths for over a decade and have installations across the country from Alaska to Maine. In our experience, there is generally minimal movement (if any) as the ground freezes due to the slim profile and smooth surface of the sleeves.

The ground stakes that hold the dig/chew guard tight against the ground are 12" long and have a zig-zag shape that helps hold them tight into the ground, even through a freeze & thaw. If there is movement with these pieces, it is not usually noticeable since there is some flexibility to the chew/dig guard material.
