How is the mesh attached to the spring-loaded arms?Updated 9 hours ago

The Existing Fence Conversion System and Conversion System for Shorter Fences include durable poly mesh (4 ft height for the standard Conversion System and 6 ft height for the Shorter Fences version).

  • Durable Poly Mesh - this is a flexible, yet strong plastic mesh designed for outdoor use. It has an impact resistance rating of approximately 600 lbs.

The poly mesh is installed after you've attached all arms to the existing fence, starting from the "top" of the fence and working down. All fence mesh comes as a roll that you can cut to length as needed. Depending on the size of your kit, you may have multiple rolls of material.

First, roll the material out to the length needed for a single side of the fence. Make sure to add a little extra length past the corners/end posts.

Then, you will attach the mesh to the tips of the arms along the span so it hangs from the ends of the arms.

Next, you want to start pushing the material back along the underside (inside) of the arms and securing in place with the included zip ties.

NOTE: It is not recommended to attach the mesh to the outside of the arms. This can create tension at the spring-joint and could prevent the arm from functioning correctly.
